Danny Broadway Selected for New Tea Box Design
Following an exhaustive search process and thorough reviewing of entries, My Cup of Tea and the Orange Mound Art Council have chosen artist Danny
Broadway to create the art for our new Memphis-themed tea box. Danny is a professional artist with works displayed in locations all across the country, but he calls Memphis home.
According to his website, www.dannybroadway.com,
"Danny Broadway’s work portrays movement, light and emotion in colorfully expressive ways. With a love of experimentation, he uses different types of
mediums and imagery to connect with the soul of humanity."
Danny, a native of Little Rock, was encouraged by his high school art teacher to develop his talents. Following graduation from North Little Rock High School, Danny enrolled in the University of Memphis and graduated with a fine arts degree. He taught high school arts classes while he was working to establish himself as a professional artist.
Danny was one of the artists selected by the Memphis International Airport to create and display his works in the new Concourse B. Danny's works always focus on people from both the past and present, and he uses vivid colors. Danny says he finds his inspiration from many different sources, historical and modern day.
We are delighted to work with Danny and look forward to seeing what he creates for My Cup of Tea. The new tea box with a flavor yet to be announced will be available in time for the holidays.
